Bhagyashri Borse was born on the 6th of May, 1999, in Aurangabad — now Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar — Maharashtra. Much of her childhood was spent abroad: her father's work took the family to Lagos, where she lived for seven years before returning home for school. She finished her schooling and read business management at university in Mumbai.
At eighteen she signed with Inega Talent and modelled in print and on television. The turn south came in 2022 — a Cadbury Silk commercial caught a Telugu director's eye, and she was cast as Jikki opposite Ravi Teja in Mr. Bachchan (2024). She dubbed her own Telugu, which is unusual for a non-native debutant, and won the SIIMA Best Female Debut prize for the year.
Her Hindi debut, Yaariyan 2 (2023), preceded the Telugu film by ten months; a cameo in Kabir Khan's Chandu Champion (2024) was her second Hindi turn. Then 2025 became, for a debutant, an unusual year: three theatrical releases — Gowtam Tinnanuri's Kingdom opposite Vijay Deverakonda, Selvamani Selvaraj's Kaantha, and Andhra King Taluka with Ram Pothineni and Upendra.
Tamil, after Telugu
Kaantha placed her in 1950s Madras as Kumari, opposite Dulquer Salmaan, with her voice in the film dubbed by the Tamil voice artist Savitha Reddy. It was her Tamil debut. Two films stand to release in 2026: Lenin, with Akhil Akkineni, on the 26th of June, and Seyon, with Sivakarthikeyan, in October — for which she is now learning the language.
She speaks Marathi at home. She is, in the working sense of the word, a south Indian actor — though she has not stopped being a Hindi one.
