Seyon names her on her birthday

Sivakarthikeyan's untitled action-drama, now branded Seyon, unveils Bhagyashri Borse's first-look poster on the morning of her 27th birthday.

Raaj Kamal Films International and Turmeric Media co-produce. Sivakumar Murugesan directs. Music by Santhosh Narayanan. The poster — circulated by trade press through the day — confirms her as the female lead opposite Sivakarthikeyan, and frames her in a rural-period look that has fans speculating about the film's setting. October 2026 is the working theatrical window. This is her second Tamil film after Kaantha, and the first for which she is learning Tamil.

Lenin drops a royal-look poster, locks 26 June

Akhil Akkineni's Lenin reaffirms the 26 June 2026 theatrical date with a fresh poster of Bhagyashri in costume.

Sithara Entertainments and Manam Enterprises — produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu — release the birthday-eve still as a renewed marketing push. Trade press notes the solo-Friday slot on 26 June and the project's earlier production turbulence (she joined mid-shoot, replacing Sreeleela). Nagarjuna, in remarks to Telangana Today, has said audiences will see "a new Akhil" in the film.

Kaantha press: "the slap was the slap"

In an extended interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Bhagyashri unpacks playing Kumari opposite Dulquer Salmaan — and the take that everyone was talking about.

She describes Kumari as a butterfly — "calm, sophisticated, innocent" — set against Dulquer's TK Mahadevan, in 1950s Madras. On the slap scene with Dulquer, she's blunt: "I was not ready to do it because I'd never had to hit anybody. But DQ really wanted that real expression. I had to do what my co-actor wanted." Selvamani Selvaraj's brief to her: "He wanted Kumari to come out as a better actor than TK in places — because he is insecure about her."
